Thank you for this interview, Dangerous.  Do you remember writing stories as a child or did the writing bug come later?  Do you remember your first published piece?

A: I have been writing since I was a child and I can remember saying that I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. Somewhere I got lost along the way and abandoned writing as a career, but I am back on track. I was born to write!

What do you consider as the most frustrating side of becoming a published author and what has been the most rewarding?

A: The most frustrating thing as a self-published author is being my own PR and marketing team, but I also enjoy it. I love what I do. Fulfilling my dream of becoming a published author has been the most rewarding experience.

Are you married or single and how do you combine the writing life with home life?  Do you have support?

A: I am a single mother. I am also currently in college studying Psychology and I hold a day job as a HIV Prevention Specialist, so I am very busy. I am usually up very late at night writing for my blog (www.dangerouslee.biz) or promoting my book. My mother and my daughter are a huge part of my support system. They also drive me to do what I do.

What do you like to do for fun when you’re not writing?  Where do you like to vacation?  Can you tell us briefly about this?

A: I’d love a vacation, you have no idea! I really do wish I could travel and see the world more, but all that will come in due time. I am a home body and a loner for the most part, but I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, painting, and spending time with a small group of friends.

If you could be anywhere in the world for one hour right now, where would that place be and why?

A: One hour? Wow! I suppose I’d be in a publishing agents’ office convincing him or her to represent me.

Who is your biggest fan?

A: My 9 year old daughter!

Where’s your favorite place to write at home?

A: I’d prefer not to write at home. For my second book I plan to write it entirely on my lap top in various locations. Being restricted to four walls affects my creativity negatively.

Do you have any pets?

A: Yes, I have two pet rats! Their names are Greyson and Baby.

Tell us a secret no one else knows.

A: I plan to only work for myself in 2012.

What’s on your to do list today?

A: Cook dinner and write new posts for my blog.

Now I’ve got a couple of fun questions for you.  If Tom Hanks, in the movie Cast Away, unearthed a copy of your book, how would that help him find a way off the island?

A: It would not help him at all, poor thing. He would be sexually frustrated and miss his girlfriend even more.

You have a chance to appear on the hit talent show for authors, American Book Idol, with judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara Dioguardi and the newest addition, Ellen DeGeneres, to determine whether your book will make it to Hollywood and become a big screenplay where you’d make millions of dollars.  What would impress them more – your book cover, an excerpt or your author photo – and why?

A: My book cover, which is an image of me, would certainly get their attention and impress them right off the bat because the image is striking and sort of odd. They would have no choice but to open the book and read all 70 pages!

You just got word that your book has received the 2010 NY Times Bestselling Book Award and you have to attend the ceremony to give an acceptance speech.  Anyone who’s anyone will be there and it’s your shot for stardom.  What would you say and who would you thank?

A: This is a dream come true! I would like to thank Dave Kudza for his work on the cover and formatting, Tim Jagielo for his awesome photography work, Lisa Essett and Tunde Olaniran for making me look beautiful, Leigh LaForest for her editing work, and everyone who believes in me and supports me. You helped me get here!

I understand that you are touring with Pump Up Your Book Promotion in July via a virtual book tour.  Can you tell us all why you chose a virtual book tour to promote your book online?

A: I have been promoting my book for over a year now and I am not ready to give up on it just yet. Sales have slowed to almost nothing on the internet and Pump Up Your Book will allow me to reach an audience that has not heard of me or my work. Most importantly, I have a very important message that everyone who is sexually active needs to know.

Thank you for this interview, Dangerous. Good luck on your virtual book tour!

A: Thank you so much. Keep it Dangerous!
