TWITTER 2/05/12 – 2/11/12 Pump Up Your Book’s Weekly Twitterville Roundup

Happy Sunday!

We decided to start a weekly roundup of all the most informative links we have found on the web that we’ve tweeted during the last week that have to do with book publishing, book promoting and social media that would be informative to the published and about to be published author. This week’s tweets include why reviewers can’t finish your book, a new Indie author becomes Amazon’s best seller, and more interesting things around Twitterville that I thought you’d love to know about it.

Here’s one to watch.  Kelly Wilkinson has become Amazon’s best selling author with his book, Locked In.  The kicker?  It’s self-published.

Speaking of self-published, I have a wonderful interview with a new self-published author, Marie Campbell.  I offer interviews now at Literarily Speaking to any Indie authors who want some free promo.  Check out Marie’s interview for details on how you can be interviewed and I’ll even include your interview at Pump Up Your Book’s weekly Twitterville roundup.

I think one of the things that totally kills me is when an author receives a negative review and then goes ballistic on the tour coordinator or the reviewer.  For future reference, we do not tell our reviewers what to write.  If you want a service that does, I’ll gladly tell you of someone, but not us.  If you feel your book isn’t up to par, don’t even begin to think about putting it on tour because it’s going to lead to frustration.  With that said, I found an interesting blog post by Lena Sledge who goes into the reasons why she can’t finish a book and it’s definitely worth a read.
